Hole in the wall is an Indian initiative that provides underprivileged children and their communities freely available access to e-learning.
The focus of our development projects is to trial approaches and to then learn lessons from implementation. We utilise our research and the research of others to pilot new approaches that target change for beneficiaries at the grass roots. Below is a list of current and completed development projects.
This project focuses on improving and expanding community based approaches to training and recruitment for jobs in tourism.
This project focuses on training vulnerable and marginalised individuals in two impoverished districts in India; Sirsa in Haryana and Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, where opportunities to access education and engage in sustainable employment are limited.
In partnership with CfBT Education Trust, we conducted a series of focus groups with employers and teachers in Hyderabad. Employers complained that school leavers were lacking 'soft' skills despite their good technical, literacy and numeracy skills.
